What makes this private?
Unlike account-based design suites, this tool does not upload photos to build the preview or export. It uses the browser’s Canvas and a background worker, then releases temporary local URLs when you start over.
Before you start
A collage is usually made to avoid sending several files: a before-and-after pair, a set of screenshots for a bug report, a few photos for a message thread that would otherwise arrive as separate attachments. That purpose sets the constraints. The result has to stay legible at whatever size the destination shows it, and it has to survive whatever that destination does to images on the way in.
What catches people out
Messaging apps will recompress it
Most chat platforms re-encode images on upload, often at a lower quality than you exported. Text inside a collage of screenshots is the first thing that suffers. Fewer, larger panels survive that better than a dense grid of small ones.
Mixed aspect ratios will be cropped or letterboxed
Putting a vertical phone screenshot next to a wide desktop one forces a choice, and neither option is invisible: crop loses content at the edges, fit leaves bands of background. Grouping images of similar shape into the same collage avoids the decision.
