WebP

Compress WebP images

Recompress WebP locally for faster websites. Keep transparency, batch files, target an exact size and inspect the result before download.

Output strategy

Auto races WebP, AVIF and compatible JPEG after one decode. Hard-edged graphics also enter a palette PNG; photos skip that extra work. The smallest result wins, but a smaller original stays byte-for-byte and transparency is never discarded.

Compression goal

75 is a strong web default. The original stays untouched.

Resize while compressing

Aspect ratio is always preserved. Every image in a batch is resized independently.

Everything runs locally. Images never leave this device.

    The balanced web format

WebP combines efficient photo compression, crisp graphics and alpha transparency with broad browser support. It is often the safest modern replacement for mixed JPEG and PNG assets.

    When WebP wins

Use it for product imagery, thumbnails and transparent web graphics. If every byte matters and encoding time is less important, compare the result with AVIF or Auto smallest.
