Privacy Policy

Short version: your images are never uploaded, and we do not ask you for any personal information. The longer version below explains what does get collected, mostly by third parties.

Your files

Images you convert are read from your device into your browser’s memory, processed there, and written back to your downloads. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no ability to see them.

We store nothing on our servers. Images normally exist only in tab memory. If you choose a “continue” action between tools, one result—or the original/result pair needed by Image Compare—is placed temporarily in IndexedDB on your own device; the next tool deletes it when read, and records older than 30 minutes are discarded.

If an installed ConvertPixel app receives images from the system share menu, its Service Worker intercepts that request locally and places accepted files in the same device-only store just until the converter reads and deletes them. The share request is not forwarded to our server.

To make returning easier, the browser may keep up to five recently used tool IDs and timestamps in local storage. This history contains no file names, images, search terms, or account identifier, never leaves your device, and can be cleared from the home page, tool finder, or directory.

Information we collect directly

We do not operate user accounts and we do not ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal detail.

Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages record standard access logs, which include your IP address, browser user agent, and the page requested. These logs are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse, and they are not combined with any other information about you.

Cookies and advertising

This site may use Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google’s Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. ConvertPixel does not require an advertising cookie to convert, compress, or create icons.

If you are in a region that requires consent for non-essential cookies, you will be asked before any advertising cookie is set, and you can decline without losing access to the tools.

Third parties

When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. You may opt out of third-party cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

We do not sell, rent, or share any information about you, because we do not have any to share.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, and objection regarding personal data held about you. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you comparable rights.

In practice we hold no personal data about you beyond transient server logs, so most of these requests would return nothing. You are welcome to contact us to confirm this.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes to how data is handled will be described plainly rather than buried.
